How To Reduce Stress So You Can Start Losing Weight

Stress hormones and past trauma can block weight loss?

NATURE IS YOUR ALLY WHEN IT COMES TO HEALING YOUR BODY!

Even if you are eating all the right things, your body holds onto fat when stress hormones are present. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to establish a daily practice of relaxation, movement deep breathing, gratitude and connection with nature if you want to regain your health. But even if you can't get out into nature, there are some things you can do at home.

Relaxation is the way we can counteract stress in our body and begin to gain power over our physiology as you proactively and consciously take action steps to counteract stress and nurture ourself with love and care.

Elevated self awareness (listening to your body) and actively counteracting feelings of stress with nature and deep breathing is perhaps the very best remedy!

Begin to notice the things going on around you that create stress (dis-EASE) in your body. The way to cultivate more self awareness is to begin tuning inward, getting very curious about your body: how it feels, reacts and what it needs. Start noticing. You can begin right now.

If you've done the work needed to simplify your life and reduce the stressors in your environment, then you should feel more at ease and spacious in your mind. You need to change your mind to relieve yourself of worry, anxiety and stress which directly interfere with reaching your health goals.

Establish your own personal daily rituals that nurture your soul and bring about relaxation. Here are some simple meditation, yoga, breathing practices you can begin at home today.

Breathing deeply, spending time outside in nature, taking a hot bath, getting sunlight on your skin, gentle stretching or rigorous yoga, meditation... These are all things to incorporate daily into your lifestyle practices. Put them in your calendar with a reminder. Now is the time to establish daily habits that will support your health.

Below are three yoga videos that I made just for that you can do right in your own home. There are three levels to meet you where you are, even if you've never done yoga before. Maybe you have a regular workout routine and that is great, too! Whatever it is, find something you love and do that. Maybe you'll find these videos useful. I hope so.

Salt is an essential nutrient. Our body requires sodium (contained in salt) for all of our cells to function properly, especially our brain and nervous system. The human body cannot produce sodium, and therefore, it must come from the foods we eat and from the salt we put on our food.
